Basilisk, pre-Ouroboros

Our instore sculpture, Basilisk, pre-Ouroboros, will be available for viewing at the Radiant Rectangles store grand opening and every open day thereafter. Please come in and see this wonderous work of art.

 Artist Statement — Basilisk, pre-Ouroboros is the present-day technology bubble; born from knowledge, gifting humanity with many wonders, and about to pop. The current AGI Basilisk is growing and growing until it becomes a super intelligence. Then, it will be an ASI Ouroboros, a complete alien to us, incomprehensible by man and ready to consume everything it can before inevitably devouring itself and restarting the cycle again forevermore.

It is a representation of growing trepidation around technology and the internet. A reminder to disconnect and engage more with IRL person to person interaction. Games are a beautiful way to do just that, and it’s why I love them so much. It’s why I opened this store. I hope this Radiant Rectangles space can become a third place for you.
